For its Research Seminar, Ambiances to Inhabit, the School invites Camille Fradet for a seminar entitled “Touch The World”. Doctoral student in the Cognitive Sciences of Perception at the Institute of Intelligent Systems and Robotics, Pierre and Marie Curie University/CNRS.
What are the properties of touch? Our nervous system possesses the wonderful measuring instruments that are our senses. They are versatile, adaptive and precise. The experience we have of the world is transmitted by signals, generated continuously by cells sensitive to light, heat, sound, skin deformations… These signals contain information about the properties of the environment with which we interact…
